Another man you admired is the late Michael Hedges. He entitled a piece of music "Bensusan" on his 1984 album Aerial Boundaries. How did it feel when he named this track after you?
“I was moved that I had inspired such beauty. This tune is extremely beautiful and it painted a very positive and poetic vision of how he sees me ‘Bensusan’, the man, and also the musician. I found that very courageous, because when you name a tune after someone you take a chance. In his case it worked”.
How would your best friend describe you?
“Sincere, brutally honest and very opinionated. Funny, light but intense sometimes”.
“A well-known guitar player approached me two ago saying that I have the reputation of someone who is not cheating other musicians. I mean when a musician asks me what I think, I either say nothing or I tell them the truth. I am not a hypocrite".
